A Hidden Gem Above the Trees
The Gyeongui Line Forest Park is a wonderful place to relax, but the experience is elevated when you find the perfect dining spot.
Little Bangkok is located right next to the walking trail on the second floor. Thanks to its elevated position, you get an unobstructed, panoramic view of the lush tree canopy.
The Coveted Terrace Seating
The interior is smartly divided into general indoor seating and a stunning terrace area with fully open windows.
The Signature Thai Beef Noodle Soup
The absolute highlight of my visit was their signature Thai Beef Noodle Soup (Kuey Teow Neua). Unlike some traditional local Thai restaurants that use overwhelmingly strong or pungent spices, the broth here has a wonderfully balanced, crowd-pleasing flavor. It is deeply savory, clean, and highly approachable, making it a comfortable choice for absolutely anyone.
Fresh Meat and Perfectly Chewy Noodles
The quality of the ingredients truly shines through in every single bite. The bowl is generously topped with incredibly fresh, tender beef that melts beautifully in your mouth alongside the broth. Moreover, the rice noodles are perfectly cooked and chewy, holding their delightful texture from the first bite to the very last slurp.
๐ก Kovolution Practical Tip: Master the Waiting List
Here is a crucial tip for your visit! When you arrive and write your name on the waiting list, you can actually select your preferred seating zone (General, Terrace, or Terrace Window). Even if the wait is slightly longer, strictly check the 'Terrace Window (์ข์ ์ฐฝ๊ฐ C)' option—the unparalleled forest view is the main reason you are here!
Smart Ordering for a Seamless Meal
Once you are seated, the service is incredibly modern and hassle-free. You can simply scan the QR code attached to your table with your smartphone to view the menu and place your order.
It is incredibly convenient, especially if you are dining solo or just want to take your time browsing the options without calling a waiter.
A Taste of Thailand in Seoul
The menu features a variety of authentic Thai dishes, and I opted for a deeply savory bowl of Thai Beef Noodle Soup. Pairing the rich, warm broth with a refreshing cold beer (they have great Thai beers and even non-alcoholic options like Heineken 0.0) was pure bliss. It truly feels like a mini-vacation right in the middle of the city.
After enjoying a comforting bowl of noodles and a cold beer, why not treat yourself to a proper European dessert? Head right downstairs to grab a traditional German cheesecake at my other recommended spot, [Liebhaber], to complete your perfect Gongdeok itinerary!
